Frequently Asked Questions

You normally receive NDIS funding for this specialised and complex service. The provider organisation needs to be registered to provide this service and the person providing the service must also be a registered practitioner. When you contact us, we will verify your funding and organise a meeting. The meeting will be to assess your child and determine agreed goals between you and the practitioner. This is the initial assessment.

From this a plan is developed and this is called the Behaviour Support Plan. The plan will detail how to improve the behaviour issues as well as reducing or ceasing any restrictive practices that may be in place. At Eureka Learning Centre we do not believe that children benefit from restrictive practices.

If you agree to the plan, the support will then be implemented in line with the plan. This may include the training of parents and carers as well as providing the plan to therapists for implementation such as behaviour, speech and occupational therapists.

Progress is monitored on a regular basis to further improve the plan. When your child has reached the agreed goals there would be no further need for behaviour support.

We provide 1:1 behaviour therapy sessions, with a minimum session duration of 2 hours

Support plans are reviewed every 8–12 weeks during a clinical meeting with the Program Supervisor and therapist. These are a necessary part of our service.

If you choose to cease services with Eureka Learning Centre, a written notice period of 4 weeks is required

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice (2 business days) is required for cancellations. Weekends are not considered business days.

Participants are allowed up to 4 NC cancellations days per calendar year, provided they are canceled with at least 48 hours’ notice.

If your child will be unavailable for weekly sessions, a minimum of 8 weeks’ notice is required.
Session bookings will be held for up to 2 weeks within a calendar year.
We allow a total of 4 weeks away per calendar year, including our Christmas closure period.
If your child is away for more than 4 weeks in a calendar year, we cannot guarantee the continuation of their sessions upon return, as consistency is essential for achieving the best possible outcomes.

If a therapist is unavailable, we will attempt to provide another experienced therapist to cover the session. If no therapist is available, the session will be canceled at no charge. If an alternative therapist is provided but you choose to cancel, the full session fee will apply.

Participants and families must advise whether they are self-managed, plan-managed, or NDIS-managed so we can correctly bill for services.

Invoices will be sent after each session and must be paid within 7 days of receipt.

Participants/ Parents and families are responsible for managing their NDIS funding.

NDIS reports take a minimum of 4 weeks to be completed.
