Daycare / School Visits
During our support plan reviews with parents, we sometimes find that there is a need to attend the child’s Daycare or School. The reasons range from the development of new behaviours, the child is less cheerful, there has been a regression in development or the Day Care or school has made a request for us to attend in order to better understand the needs of the child. Our therapists attend the Daycare or school and start by observing the situation. They take notes determining triggers or scenarios that impact the child’s development.
Our therapist may interact with the child within the setting to better understand the situation. Our therapist will discuss issues with the educator to provide guidance and techniques to better improve the situation. After the session, the parents are provided with a brief of the findings and how the situation will be better managed.
